What's New

Trains and Planes and Automobiles...

Ahhhhhhhhh, Summer in Paris....it's always beautiful...rain, of which there has been a lot. NO Reeeeeeeeeeally a lot.  Or shine...the sun IS trying very hard to peek through. But there's something truly romantic about rain in Paris...especially in the Summer. I don't mind....but J'adore Paris Come rain or Come shine

It was great to return after a four week respite in the States. Gosh...We had done so much traveling during our Spring tour. I was beyond exhausted. When we finally stopped and I woke up in my bed in the States, I truly didn't know where I was :-) We toured FItaly, Germany, Austria and Turkey. We met a lot of wonderful people and my heart is forever filled with fond memories. A trek across four possibly five countries in six weeks. Thrilling. Once sufficiently rested we picked up the pace and started it all over again...DK/OHSummer Tour 2012 in full swing.

Our current tour began May 25th in France. We had a great couple of days at Sunset Jazz Club in Paris, which is always a bustling scene. Stephane was a very gracious, warm and friendly host. Olivier Hutman piano ,Michel Rosciglione contrabasse and Antoine Paganotti drums,  were as usual amazing. From Sunset we journeyed to Ipswitch UK to perform a concert for my dear friend and agent Althea Browne. Great gig and great radio interviews as well. Thanks to King Bizkit at ICRS and BBC radio host for great times and fun interviews. Quite interesting to be there during Queens Jubilee. Excitement was thick... even palpable. I might add that I had the best darn cup of tea I have ever had in my life.

Our next stop was Jazz Club L'inoui in Luxembourg, where we played with our good friends Sal La Rocca and Hans van Oosterhout. The beautiful singer and owner Shlomit and her husband Paul welcomed us back to two nights of a full house. It is a beautiful intimate room all dark wood and the charm of a old Ale House. Can't wait to return hopefully next year. Paul and Shlomit are extremely kind and really made us feel at home.

Trains  and more train...picturesque French countryside amazing 10th 11th 12th century architecture as we made our way to Jazz Club L'F in Dinant Belgium. A great little city with a beautiful ambience and charm I sat in my room and watched the books make their way lazily up and down the river some loaded with tourist some to destinations unknown. How nice it was to  rest and dream. The concerts in Dinant were thrilling, the audiences great and music good. Our host were as usual very kind and our two days there were memorable. I got to meet a good friend of mines sister who lives in Belgium. Her husband took beautiful photo's.
