Welcome to my new home on the web!! Thanks for stopping by.
On this site you can hear music, see where I'm playing and when AND meet some of the amazing musicians I am honored to work with. I've been doing a lot of traveling lately and since a number of you asked...I've decided to do a travel blog. I'll post lots of pictures and might even throw in some of my silly and not so silly observations.
I sing all types of music, (even trying to learn an aria or two) check out my bio, but my absolute love is Jazz!! I kind of see myself as a torch bearer. Somebody has to keep this tradition of vocal Jazz alive. I do it for all the great Ladies of Jazz who made it possible for me, Sarah, Billy, Abbey, Ella, Anita, Nina, Blossom, Carmen et al. I love singing it and well I'm beyond the drop it like it's hot stage and easing more into the mellowing like good red wine stage :-) That's a good thing.
I'm always asking for request...I like to sing what people want to hear, even though I have my faves. The longer I do this the more I realize that we all have our own personal soundtracks. A song to you or me might be just a song but for someone else it is attached to a lingering memory. Let me know what you'd like to hear. Obscure tunes that we rarely get to hear are welcome. From time to time I'll do some give aways. CD's, T-shirts, tickets...lots of stuff.
